The Georgian alphabet is one of the ancient alphabets in the world. It has three historic systems: Asomtavruli, Nuskhuri and Mkhedruli. We now present the harmonic composition of the ancient Asomtavruli and modern Mkhedruli alphabetic systems. The first scripts with Asomtavruli alphabetic system date back to 1 th century BC. This explains the fact that the Georgian alphabet has been granted the status of intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO. Outlines of Mkhedruli system derive from the historic transformation of Asomtavruli and Nuskhuri alphabetic systems. Nowadays, Georgians exchange the information using this alphabet system and its uniqueness lies in the fact that it is read as it is written. On this particular scarf, the ancient past meets the present and it brings the Georgian intangible heritage into our daily life with revived appearance.
